7th Diploma class graduation.

53% of graduates have been successfully accepted by the Top 50 Universities in the world.(Based on QS/US News university Rankings)

May 2015

6th Diploma class graduation.

42% of graduates have been successfully accepted by the QS World Ranking Top 20 Universities.

May 2014

5th Diploma class graduation.

17% of graduates have been accepted by University of Edinburgh (Current Year World Ranking 17th).

September 2013 

Authorized to be a Cambridge Test Center for English.


June 2013

Accreditation for the Primary Years Program passed. 

CAIS successfully receives authorization from the IBO.

May 2013

4th Diploma class graduation.

20% of graduates have been accepted by McGill University (Current Year World Ranking 18th).

September 2012

New teaching area was established for MYP and DP. 

May 2012

CAIS first Chinese graduates; 2 students were admitted by top 20 universities. 

A student was accepted by McGill University (Current Year World Ranking 17th in that year), 

and jumped to Sophomore Year.

Dec 2011

Accreditation for the Middle Years Program passed.

June 2011

School appoints Mr. Bryan Manditsch as 3rd Principal.

May 2011

2nd Diploma class graduation. A total of 22 universities world-wide offer places to the 4 graduates.

March 2011

CAIS wins the international award for excellence ISO9001:2008.

July 2010

CAIS becomes an official SAT testing center.

May 2010

1st Diploma class graduation. 

Two students are awarded full 4 year scholarship to S. P. Jain- School of Business. 

July 2009

Full Scholarship and the Principal’s Scholarship established.

June 2008

School appoints Mary Pazsit as 2nd Principal.

March 2008

Accreditation for the Diploma Program passed.

August 2007

The Ministry of Education grants the final approval for the opening of CAIS.

June 2006

Jilin Provincial Government Approval and Licensing of  Changchun American International School as a government-authorized international school. Dr. Mark Uerkvitz is pointed as 1st Princial.


Mr. Daniel Chou and Ms. Irene Chu established Changchun American International School.
