There is a special department in CAIS, where all the staff members are dressed in standard and clean uniforms. Their magic hands can change the vegetables into delicious dishes. Their mission is to serve students with healthy food. They are members of CAIS Kitchen! It's our great honor that we have just got the Health Qualification of Level A. The enthusiasm of the cooks has impressed us a lot. They spare no effort in offering the healthy and delicious food to our CAIS members all the time.
To get the Level A qualification, the kitchen has really improved a lot, which will be shown in the following aspects.
No fear to be observed
The LED screen shows 4 groups of pictures at the same time, so that we can easily observe each working section. CAIS welcomes you to abserve, since we have confidence in our standard. So please be rest assured!
We designate Metro as our nominated supplier. Non-kitchen staff are also involved in checking food. We take photos for each kind of food and make certain that the food is in the guarantee period. We also have a standard form for each food, food not up to our high standardsmust be returned and never be allowed to enter the kitchen!
Chopping boards, knives and cleaning cloth are matched by different colors. Raw and cooked food are separated onto two chopping tables in order not to get infected.
Our CAIS Nurse gets samples every day and stores them for 48 hours.
You can easily find our Disinfection record, Food using record, Food making record, Morning checking record and so on in the kitchen. We refine each of the procedures so that each kind of food is able to be traced from purchasing to making.
We adopt color management system to all foods. All the foods are marked with dates by using colorful labels, so the cook is able to choose the food from the very last days to the recent days. The color management is also used in raw material storage. Aren’t all the creative ideas beyond your imagination?
Delicate instruments can always help us provide better service, such as purified water to improve the palatability and the disinfection cabinet to gain sterile tableware! We keep the food at an optimal temperature so as to let our students enjoy the most delicious and healthy food!
No matter checking or cooking food, all the 13 staff members in the kitchen follow the procedures strictly. Their responsibility and confidence make them stand out any kind of test. So they deserve an “A” qualification! With strictness as the standard, CAIS kitchen aims to provide a wide variety of healthy , delicious and safe lunches to our students.
